Cal Dietz, from the University of Minnesota, talks to the NSCA Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Scott Caulfield, about putting new learning into application, and many aspects of professional and personal development. Cal Dietz has been the Head Olympic Strength and Conditioning Coach for numerous sports at the University of Minnesota since 2000, including men’s hockey, men’s basketball, women’s hockey, men’s golf, women’s golf, men’s swimming, track and field, baseball, and wrestling. During his tenure, Dietz has trained a Hobey Baker Award winner, two Big Ten Athletes of the Year, as well as athletes that have achieved 450 All-American honors, 31 Big Ten/Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Championships teams, and 10 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship teams. Previously, Dietz was the strength coordinator at the University of Findlay.
